Team
The team is built around experience from the buyer’s side of the table: sourcing, diligence, and closing inside PE-backed acquisition platforms.

David spent his career on the other side of the table.
Inside PE-backed platforms he ran add-on M&A end to end: sourcing, diligence, negotiation, integration. Most recently he led acquisitions at PURIS, a water infrastructure services platform backed by J.F. Lehman & Company. He executed add-on acquisitions at FleetPride, a distributor of heavy-duty truck parts and a portfolio company of American Securities. He came to M&A through corporate development at Interstate Batteries, and began his career at PwC, rebuilding finance functions for corporate clients.
Before founding UHR, he closed 40+ transactions representing $400M+ in total transaction value. They spanned buy-side, sell-side, and joint ventures, for founder-owned and family-owned companies.
Almost every company he bought was founder-owned. He sat in the investment committee meetings where those businesses were priced. The imbalance was always the same. The owner across the table was selling once. The buy-side team bought for a living. Most of those owners went to closing without a sell-side advisor, and it cost them.
That is what he wanted to change.
He knows which questions move the price, because he asked them.
David founded UHR Advisory in 2026 to bring institutional buy-side discipline to the lower middle market. He advises founder-owned companies on sale processes, builds acquisition programs for platform and corporate buyers, and leads UHR's own-capital investing.
He holds a B.A. in Economics from The University of Texas at Austin, with a finance minor from the McCombs School of Business.

As a Vice President, Reagan works with owners through every stage of a sale, from preparation through closing and the support that follows.
Before joining UHR, Reagan spent nearly five years at FleetPride, an American Securities portfolio company, executing acquisitions on the buy-side. He helped source and evaluate targets and worked with owners from initial conversations through diligence and close. In his final years there, Reagan served as the company's M&A lead, managing sourcing and the acquisition pipeline, maintaining seller relationships, supporting prior acquisitions, and administering post-close earnouts. His experience at FleetPride also included broader corporate finance responsibilities.
Reagan began his career in PwC's management consulting practice, working within the Financial Effectiveness group on finance transformation engagements for industrial products and services companies.
Having worked from the buy-side, Reagan understands what an investment team will test, what builds confidence, and what can weaken price or terms. He helps founder-owned and family-owned businesses prepare before going to market, support their earnings with evidence, navigate diligence, and negotiate from a position of strength.
He holds a B.B.A. in Accounting from Baylor University.

Shashank is a software and data engineer who specializes in turning fragmented operational information into reliable, buyer-ready systems. He helps owners and management teams understand what is performing, what needs attention, and, critically, what can be demonstrated clearly to a prospective buyer.
His experience spans Meta, Fanatics, Nordstrom, CSC ServiceWorks, and Interstate Batteries, where he has built data infrastructure and software used to understand businesses with complex operations. His work has included connecting financial and operational systems, automating reporting that previously depended on spreadsheets and manual analysis, and building the underlying data platforms that allow executives to see how their businesses are performing.
At Interstate Batteries, Shashank helped give executives on-demand visibility into inventory and supplier performance while supporting the modernization of the company's supply-chain data infrastructure. At CSC ServiceWorks, he automated revenue and service reporting and used machine-utilization data to identify equipment that could be redeployed instead of replaced. He later helped Nordstrom build its first comprehensive automated view of store performance and helped establish the initial data foundation for analytics at Fanatics. At Meta, he worked on large-scale data and software systems supporting some of the company's core products and internal platforms.
Across these roles, the problem has often been the same one faced by growing owner-operated businesses: the information needed to run the company exists, but it is scattered across accounting systems, operational software, spreadsheets, and the knowledge of individual employees. Shashank builds the systems that bring that information together and make it dependable.
At UHR, Shashank serves as Chief Technology Officer and leads the firm's technology and data strategy. He works with owners and management teams to define the operational and financial KPIs that matter, build the systems that keep those metrics current, and create the buyer-ready analysis needed to support a transaction. He also builds the technology and data infrastructure that allows UHR to evaluate and manage acquisitions efficiently.
Shashank also teaches data engineering and analytics to a global audience of analysts, engineers, operators, and students. His approach to technology is practical: sophisticated systems are valuable only when the people running a business can trust them, understand them, and use them to make better decisions.
He holds a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Emory University.
